Hi, I'm Sydney! I'm a 22 year old recent graduate living in Miami and beginning my career in marketing.

 

Originally from Canada, I moved to Miami in 2021 to attend Florida International University and pursue better job opportunities. I graduated in June 2023 with a 3.5 GPA and a BBA in Marketing. During my time at FIU, I was very involved on campus. I was on the executive board of The American Marketing Association, a student mentor for The Student Health and Wellness Center, and a Student Ambassador for The World Happiness Festival.

Professionally, I have over 4 years of experience working in marketing for a number of different companies, including Speechify, Baccarat, and Stridas LLC. I am passionate about conducting consumer behavior research, digital advertising strategy, social media marketing, and market research analysis.

 

Personally, I am passionate about advocating for mental health awareness and being a force for good in my community. A couple of years ago, I competed in a competition to create my own mental health empowerment program. I won and was granted funds through The 1N5 Foundation to begin my mental health initiative, AllEars, which aimed to educate students on the importance of active listening.

 

This experience taught me the importance of strong leadership in helping to make great things happen, and I eventually used this knowledge to launch my own marketing agency, Roaring Concepts, where I am currently the director.

I am a passionate, innovative, creative, and motivated person, with a desire to change the world by helping socially responsible brands reach the highest volume of consumers. Through Roaring Concepts, I have done work for a number of non-profits, including The Ausome Foundation and The BackPack Barbershop Foundation.
